Live Aid 40th

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Live Aid concerts.

Marking this anniversary year we were lucky enough to be able to offer an original signed programme, featuring the autographs of Freddy Mercury, Roger Taylor and Sting inside the cover, and Phil Collins on his own page:

An original ticket was also affixed inside.

This remarkable group of signatures was obtained by an attendee at the concert who accessed the backstage 'Hard Rock Cafe' via her partner who was in security. She was nervous to approach the members of Queen but said Freddy Mercury was friendly and approachable, and was glad to sign for her.

Estimated at £1000 to £1500, the price achieved on the day was £4500 hammer. Freddy Mercury's autograph in particular is scarce, and you couldn't ask for a more iconic occasion for the signing!
