About our auctions
Our Suffolk-based auction house in Martlesham Heath, just outside of Ipswich, currently holds over 20 auctions throughout the year across five specialist categories, with a schedule of annual sales encompassing a comprehensive range of valuables and collectables. Our auctions continue to build their reputation for securing strong interest and increasingly impressive results,
Viewing
There is the opportunity to view lots at our auction house or request a condition report in the run-up to each sale. Viewing dates will be available to browse with the online auction catalogue. You do not need an appointment for viewing.
Bidding
Everyone is welcome to come and bid in person on auction day, simply turn up and register your arrival. Alternatively you can leave commission/absentee bids, book a telephone line or bid live online using EasyLive Auctions or The Saleroom bidding platforms.
Payment
Invoices are sent 1-2 days after the auction, once P&P has been calculated. We accept cash, debit card and BACS transfer. Debit card payments can also be made over the phone.
Collection and postage & packaging
You are most welcome to collect your lot(s) from our auction house post-sale. Alternatively, Lockdales is proud to offer a competitively priced, full in-house postal service, eliminating the astronomical postage charges added by many other auction houses that outsource this service. Our team have many years of experience and provide a professional and prompt service.
Deactivated Firearms:Please note, under UK Law, you are required to inform the Home Office of possession of a deactivated firearm. Notification of Possession of a deactivated firearm form found here.Bladed Weapons:We can post bladed items within the UK. For overseas we can only offer a packing service and buyer must arrange private courier.
