SUPER MODELS

We are currently preparing the catalogue for Lockdales' last sale of the year in December. Recently received and to be included in the auction is a collection of Corgi and Dinky diecast models in mint condition complete with original boxes. The collection includes the following model vehicles (pictured below): Dinky Supertoys no. 521 ‘Bedford Articulated Lorry’ in yellow; Corgi toys no.69 ‘Massey Ferguson 165 Tractor with Shovel’ in red with grey body; Corgi Toys Whizzwheels no.418 ‘Austin London Taxi’ in black with lime green interior; Corgi Toys Whizzwheels no.374 ‘4.2 Litre Jaguar E Type 2+2' in yellow; Dinky Toys no. 106 ‘Austin Atlantic Convertible’ in black with red interior. Die cast model vehicles, such as these produced by Dinky and Corgi in the post war years, are recognised around the world as collector’s items. Demand for them within the world of vintage toys remains strong, especially for rarer models and those in mint condition.
