We've had fantastic results for comics especially those of Spider-Man, Batman, and collections of British comics such as the Beano and Dandy.  Might you have some treasures up in the loft?  Collectors are typically looking for early issues, often No. 1 from pre-1970 series, or the first appearances of classic villains, or iconic cover designs.  Otherwise comics are usually sold in collections, but can still produce surprising results.  British comics from the 1970s or earlier attract robust interest such as Beano issue 452 in 1951, where Dennis the Menace made his first appearance.
