Banknote & Paper Money Consultant
Lockdales has welcomed banknotes specialist Kevin Watmough to its growing team of experts where he will join our paper money section. Over the last 30 years, Kevin has become a familiar face at national and international coin and banknote fairs and shows, meeting dealers and collectors, adding to his collection and increasing his knowledge of world paper money.
At Lockdales, Kevin acts as our consultant on paper money, carrying out tasks including appraisals, grading, valuations, consignments and cataloguing for auctions. He is due to attend more shows and fairs and looking forward to meeting both new and existing clients.
jacqueline phillips
Jewellery & Gemstone Consultant
Saxmundham jeweller, Jacqueline Phillips works with Lockdales as an expert agent. Jacqueline began her career working at a jewellers in Aldeburgh, specialising in amber. She also gained her National Association of Jewellers JET 1 and JET 2 qualifications, alongside a Gemstone Diploma
Jacqueline assists Lockdales by using her experience to identify items and provide in-depth descriptions for lots in our regular Fine Sale auctions.
Howard williamson
Edged Weapons & Firearms Consultant
Howard is a recognised authority on all things military related and the author of some 15 books including the unrivalled reference book 'The Great War Medal Collectors' Companion'. Howard's passion for collecting militaria began as a seven-year-old boy. An avid reader as a teenager, his fascination with militaria continued to grow and he was soon giving local antique dealers appraisals of lots in upcoming auctions.
Howard is a regular face at Lockdales offering his encyclopedic knowledge to assist with valuing and cataloguing items for our regular militaria auctions.

Numismatic Consultant
Retired pharmaceutical chemist, Dr Vezin, has been involved with numismatics for over 60 years and possesses an extensive library of numismatic literature (over 13,500 items)! He also publishes articles via various journals and websites and is duty librarian for the Royal Numismatic Society. His numismatic interests are worldwide, but he has a specialist interest in obscure and oriental specimens.
Dr Vezin is a familiar face here at Lockdales offering advice and assisting with the catalogue of ancient and hammered coins.
