Lockdales is based in Martlesham Heath Business Park, mid-way between Ipswich and Woodbridge, a light industrial estate with many facilities including Barclays Bank, Tesco, cafes, restaurants, and sports & leisure clubs. We have plenty of free parking. You will find us directly opposite the entrance to BT's Adastral Park facility, look for the square-topped tower. Our opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 9.30am-4.30pm, excluding bank holidays (please check Saturday opening hours). The best Bus routes to and from Martlesham (BT) are Route 66 and Route 67.


Martlesham Heath was an airfield from 1917 until 1963. Our premises is one of the former officers' barrack blocks. Famous WW2 RAF pilots including Squadron Leaders Peter Townsend and Douglas Bader (later Group Captain Peter Townsend and Group Captain Sir Douglas Bader) were billeted here while serving at RAF Martlesham Heath.


Nearby is the Martlesham Heath Control Tower Museum, which will tell you much more about the important role Martlesham played during the First and Second World Wars.
